When I look at keyword density of forum home or a thread page, then the most used words are something like "post" (the usal links to posts/threads).
Would it be a good idea to change anything to this to optimize the keyword density of real keywords?

yeah, we all have that. it's hard to not have it unless you remove a lot of the information from your forum home, etc that is default with vb.
i'm not sure that it has a negative effect though. I would think that google would be smart enough to consider words like 'post' and 'thread' to be 'stop words'.
and in which way did you solve it (your way)?
