Thumbs down vbSEO got its first clone?

    Piepo,

I think vbSEO is, by FAR, much better than vbranking.

    And here is why:

    1. Session id is (sometimes) included in the rewritten URL, even if the URL is static, it's not unique:

    http://www.vbranking.com/forumdispla...9a35e-f_4.html

    2. No keywords in the URLs.

    3. With vbSEO, each forum has its own directory, this is ultra important for me.

    ...

    vbRanking is just clone, IMO.

Sorry, I just can't trust clones.

    @ SEO Report

I think you did not understand my thread!
Of course, vBSEO is much better than vBRanking. Its not my goal to advertise this script or something like that.
I do not like it too!
I only wanted to start a discussion about the script.

    Piepo,

Sorry if I offended you. I think we agree vbSEO is much better!

The need of having static keyword-rich URLs in vbulletin is real and definitely justify the presence of commercial hacks.

Competition is always good for consumers, but I honestly feel this script is just a bad clone (at least, as far as I can see, it still needs some work to match vbseo)

Good find piepo. Best laugh I've had all day, although it is only noon . It looks to me like it's just another version of the sloppy SEO hacks for vbulletin that are available for free at various admin forums.

Embedding keywords in urls is the major selling point of vBSEO -- "content relevant urls".

That site is not nearly as professional as this one. It's in broken English -- would you ever buy an SEO product from someone who calls SEO "search engine optimation ". It's clearly trying to piggyback on Crawlability's brand. Look how they're using Crawlability's product name in their meta tags:

    meta name="keywords" content="vBulletin,vB,Seo,Ranking,vBRanking,vBSeo,Search Engine Optimization,mod_rewrite,vBRanking"

This makes the decision to encrypt the vBSEO source code look very wise in retrospect. It's interesting how jb-net was very adamant about becoming a tester, and inquiring about the pricing of vBSEO.

    Hy,

I wanted to become a tester of vBSeo, but I didn’t get an answer. So I looked for an other hack but I couldn't found any interesting. So I decided to write my own hack for vBulletin: vBRanking (www.vbranking.com).

Today the marketing concept of vBRanking has changed and it is now available for everyone as a free modification of vBulletin.
