Number of indexed urls - is it low?

Total URLs: 156,148
Indexed URLs: 22,765

I have over 156000 urls in my sitemap, but google has only indexed 22,000.

Its been over a month. Anything I can do to get the rest indexed?

- How many threads do you have?
- Are you including showpost pages in the sitemap? If you are, exclude them.

It can take time to index the majority of the forum pages.
Also, it will never be 100%. Google will always be playing catch-up with the Forum URLs count.

There are over 600,000 threads.

Actually those are 'posts'. Threads are 133K. Nevertheless, with that large amount of threads, it can take months to reindex the whole forum. What you can do is to continue building quality content, as well as relevant backlinks to your Forum & (rewritten) sub-forums.
