It displayed
http://www.domain.com/introduce-yourself/index1.html
http://www.domain.com/introduce-yourself/index2.html
....
up to index 10 and for some index 33 for each forum section
Is this normal?

You have a certain number of threads displayed per page:
introduce-yourself/index2.html corresponds to the page 2 of the forumdisplay for "Introduce Yourself" forum.
index3.html stands for page 3. etc.
