    No Clear Install Instructions?

    This is friggin weird guys

    I download 3 zip files

    VBSEO
    Sitemap
    Signature

It doesnt tell you which one to work with, it doesnt tell you what each one is, no order given.

So i am only working with the VBSEO one.. i have vb 3.6.4 I upload the UPLOAD folder into my www.mydomain.com/forum folder

I then go to the MYDOCS folder and get the htaccess.txt file open it to see what is inside.. seems as though there is information im meant to change in there But it doesnt tell you anywhere what is meant to be changed.. so i just uploaded that by itself no changes.. then renamed to .htaccess

i followed rest of install instructions about browsing in the plugins thing..

After that.. nothing has happened except my

www.mydomain.com/forums when clicked now redirects to www.mydomain.com

this is weird.. i think your install guide needs revamping as his is not a 5 minute job as claimed on the site

( i sent in a ticket hours ago and havent heard back yet?)

Those are three separate products, so there is no special order to install them really.

vBSEO is the product you purchased; the other two are free add-ons that we offer.

If you look in the Docs directory with vBSEO there is a readme that tells you step by step how to install. Try following that to see if it's more clear.

Its working and yes I did have to edit the htaccess file I think they should update their instructions as it never said that but after opening it up i figured i had to change the domain.com to my domain , save and then upload

still a few issues though with the way its creating urls with #postnumbers on the end of them not sure thats good it should end with .html nothing after??

You don't need to edit the .htaccess file at all in most cases. The lines at the top that reference "domain" are commented out by default, and are just an example. Those lines won't execute, and won't affect anything, unless you remove the # from in front of them.

The #postnumbers are necessary to jump the user to the correct location on the page. Search engines ignore/don't care about the # and anything after it.
