The person who started this thread said that having the copyright on their site was hurting their business. So far vBSEO hasn't provided a way to pay to get it removed, so this is the next best thing.
Re: vBSEO - Search Engine Friendly URLs for vBulletin and More
You are NOT entitled to:
- Allow others to use vBSEO™ unless they comply with the terms of this agreement.
- Reverse engineer or create derivative works based on vBSEO's feature set or implementation structure.
- Modify and/or remove any copyright notices or labels that vBSEO™ places on each page of your vBulletin™ forums.
Joe - I am very surprised as to that response. Obviously this issue has the attention of vbSEO as well as loyal fans and yet the issue hasn't been resolved. If I had to estimate, that last response just lost you 5 points on the credibility scale and cost at least a 2 point drop in market share. Just rough number.
PS - Joe, if your next response is management hasn't made a decision on this matter but it's coming, I guarantee a double digit loss in market share. Your clients obviously take this matter seriously, I would suggest your company does.
Alex,
Thank-you for your continued feedback. As you are aware, the vBSEO Team has repeatedly given input within this and related discussions.
I posted a relevant portion of our license agreement to discourage our members from promoting violation of our terms.
I am going to close this thread now as I think that all interested parties have had a sufficient opportunity to express their opinion.
