Arrow NNTP Plugin Threads doing RPC Pinging?

I have the NNTP plugin installed on my new forum. It posts all the emails from certain newsgroups into my forums. I have these posts seperated into their own sub forums and actually have new posts/threads turned off for these sub forums so the usenet threads are read only.

I have the 3 default update services set in VBSEO
    http://rpc.pingomatic.com
    http://rpc.technorati.com/rpc/ping
    http://blogsearch.google.com/ping/RPC2

My question is, are these usenet threads pinging these services? Wit the way they are being created how can I tell?

I actually do not want these subforums / usenet threads pinging. I have them blocked out using a robots.txt file as they are there for filler content to make the forums look busy and I do not want the SE's indexing the filler content.

So how can I tell if they are pinging out and if they are how can I stop it just for those sub forums?

    Hello,

vBSEO performs services update when "newpost_complete" plugin is called AND THIS_SCRIPT is defined as 'newthread'.

OK you totally lost me. What does "AND THIS_SCRIPT" in caps mean? Are you saying the NNTP plugin or are you talking about a function actually names THIS_SCRIPT that is being called?

So the answer was what? My NNTP threads are getting pinged or they are not?

From my experiences the NNTP plugin doesn't use hooks or anything when putting posts into vbulletin, so vbseo doesn't get called when posting, thus no pinging etc happens.

The NNTP plugin was roughly ported from an earlier vbulletin version and thus doesn't use hooks.
