    Newbie - dumb questions!

Ok, I just purchased vBSEO with the installation service. Before I go ahead and let the guys at it do I need to upgrade from vB3.8.1 to the latest 3.8.4? Will is make any difference if I upgrade after vBSEO is installed?
Also, I have a few new areas planned for my forum such as an articles section using one of the hacks from vbulletin.org Doe I have to have all of these new forums with the various sub categories up and running before installing vBSEO (or having it installed for me)? What I mean is, if I install vBSEO now, then add these new area to my forum will they automatically be dealt with by the vBSEO script or does that require further tweaking (if so ho difficult for someone with almost zero experience?).
    Thanks for you patience,
    Dave

    Hi Dave,

It doesn't really matter which order you perform the vB upgrade and vBSEO install. Either one can come first.

Regarding the articles section you plan to create, I'm not aware of any such modifications that conflict with vBSEO.

Depending on how the modification works, you will either find that it works with vBSEO 'out of the box', maybe require some Custom Rewrite Rules to be added in your vbseo Control Panel, or if they are very un-integrated/bespoke URLs, some form of customisation will need to be made to their code to integrate vBSEO.

That last one is probably beyond the casual user, but our community will be happy to make suggestions if you ask in the forums.
