New domain name has no search engine power.

I recently switched domains, my old domain name was ranked nicely but it had a dash in it. I switched domain names to the version without the dash last month.

I have under 1500 pages on my website, I 301 all old links to new domain.

My new domain has over 700 pages indexed on google, and 150 still on my old domain. I am satisfied with this, but the new domain has no search engine power. These pages are being shown on page 100 in google and stuff.

Yes this was a brand new domain that I switched to, is there any way to give my new domain more power? As an example, I used to rank #1 or #2 for random keywords that have to do with my site, now I am on the 100th page.

Is there also a way to have google get rid of the last 150 pages google has on my old domain or will it happen in a few more months?

Domain age is an seo factor that is used to rank pages. Older domains are generally more established and usually gets the nod. If you're still showing urls on the old domain in the SERPs, the conversion process hasn't finished in google yet. 301'ed or not, your still undergoing a re-indexing process. Dropping rank is to be expected and it's why we never recommend moving if at all possible. At this point, the best thing to do is to sit tight and let them catch up and start ranking your new domain.

I had under 80 pages left indexed on my old domain yesterday, and today it shot up to 350? What is going on here? the old pages are all 301'd to the new domain but they are still showing in google as the old domain. And all pages indexed have no search engine power what so ever, every page is ranked in the thousands.

It's simply out of anyones' hands but google at this point. This is why we recommend to set it and forget it.

I thought I did something wrong on my side. I have these doubts because all I did was change the domain name and edit my vbulletin license, I did not edit anything in VBSEO or the sitemap. Did I need to change things?

vBSEO uses vb's BBURL setting. There's no seperate change needed. You should update your google.com/webmasters area to reflect the new domain.
