My vBSEO doesn't work with php 5.2.6

After having upgraded to php 5.2.6 my vbseo 2.4.5 doesn't work anymore?

I get an error message: "vbseo.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so to be installed by the site administrator"

I've already uploaded the 5.2.so files to my iocube directory but nothing changed.

Could you please give me some help? For this installation of vbseo I don't want to upgrade to the latest vbseo version. So I need to have the 2.4.5 version running with php 5.2.6.

    Thanks in advance.

    Roland

    Hello,

please install vBSEO3.1.0 or greater - vBSEO is not encoded anymore and doesn't require Ioncube.

I know because I have two vbseo licenses. But I don't want to purchase a newer version for this case.

For the second installation I already have the newest RC8.

So how do I fix this?

    Thanks in advance.

Make sure that you have installed the latest Ioncube loader files for your new PHP version: PHP Encoder, protection, installer and performance tools from ionCube: Loader Download
And check your phpinfo() to see if Ioncube is loaded correctly.

Please PM me the URL of your 2 licenses. We only have 1 assigned to you right now.

Also: Keep in mind that renewal is only $35. You do not have to pay the full $149 to upgrade to a new version.

@Joe: Sent requested infos in PM.

@Oleg: I still have the same problem. I uploaded the ioncube files but right after enabling php 5.2.6 with ...

    AddType x-mapp-php5 .php
    AddHandler x-mapp-php5 .php

... I get the error message again. Without those lines in htaccess I get an perfect vbseo result (php 4.4.8).

    Could you please help me?

Do you have ioncube loaders listed in phpinfo() when PHP5 is enabled?

No I haven't. I checked the phpinfo() and didn't see any entry about ioncube.

What do you mean with "reinstall"? To upload the ioncube files to the ioncube directory? I did this several times.

My server is a fully managed server by my provider. So I can't access the php.ini file.

Here is the installation instruction: PHP Encoder, protection, installer and performance tools from ionCube: Loader Installation

You might need to contact your host if you unable to install it.

    Oleg,

The ioncube is already installed (runtime version). With php5 being disabled it works fine. So what could be the problem?

It means that you have Ioncube installed for PHP4 but not for PHP5.

How can I do that if I only have the ioncube directory in the forum directory (runtime installation)? The ioncube directory contains all the ioncube_loader files (from 4.1 to 5.2).

You could contact your hosting support for details, possibly your php5 installation has dynalic library loading feature disabled, so you should include Ioncube directly in php.ini.
