    Hi,

As is stated in the thread that Brian linked to this issues is not related to vBSEO and there are people who are not using vBSEO being effected by this. It is a general server security issue.

I got hit with a re-direct exploit at the same time as the URL rewrite exploit. When I uninstalled VBSEO and installed the patched version (3.5.1) the re-directs also disappeared. I would recommend trying that and do it ASAP because that's not good for your SERPs.

If MTD is correct, vbseo is wrong and the fault is vbseo.

No , he is not correct at all. Importing vBSEO product file just refreshes vBulletin datastore. Refreshing datastore fixes the problem because normally the hacked data in your server is datastore. Importing vBSEO product file is nothing near a fix. You should protect your datastore as explained in the linked thread. As the issue has been discussed in past and there is a thread that have possible ways to secure your server , i am closing this thread now , in order to avoid some people blaming vBSEO without any proof in their hand.
