Multiple domains, one forum

Hello,

Next to my current domain letsgather.net I recently became the more than happy owner of the domain letsgather.com.
I added it as a parked domain using cpanel, and updated my vB site name/contact details to letsgather.com instead of letsgather.net.

Now my forum/vBSEO license suddenly shows up as unregistered when using the my ‘old’ second domain (letsgather.net).
Which I understand ofcourse, because I haven’t updated anything at the vBSEO.com website yet.

However, I do like to ask, does vBSEO supports multiple domains and how? This under one single license.
Also, as mentioned I’m using cPanel to ad this second domain. Would this be the best solution or is there a better, more SEO friendly way to accomplish this?

All the best,

Cor

301 Redirect the old domain to the new one.

Don't let your site be accessible via 2 different domain names.

No. vbseo only supports the domain as entered in the Vb acp. Further, having 2 sites go to the same content is a HUGE SEO no-no. You are now serving duplicate content.

The best way to do this is to pick one.
un-park it, set up a real account for it, and in that account all you need is an htacces file that sends everything to the in-use domain, whatever that may be. (its basically the same rule in the vbseo htaccess for the www rule at the top, obviously changing the .com's where appropriate... if not this domain (.net), send to this domain (.net) for the .com 's htaccess file [or, vice versa if you want the .com to be your rreal site from now on])

if you decide to use the .com over the .net, a support ticket can update the url of your license.
