Moving threads

Hello,

I have a subforum that I want to delete and move all the threads to a different subforum that I already have.

If you have a look at my sig for Crime case Files
I want to delete

Latest Headlines and move most of the posts to
Crime Files.

Now this is my problem, some of my threads in the latest headlines are very highly indexed with Google, for example
Mustafa Assoum shooting

If you search that on Google it is the first listing, and it shows by the thread views (thanks to vbseo)

I dont want to loose the indexing of these high rating search results, if I do move them they will be reindexed,

Should I worry about this? and just move them and wait and hope that they are placed highly again by Google?

Are there any options that I have that will help me with moving high rating threads, to keep them indexed where they are.

You can create a Custom Redirect Rule to correctly redirect all your threads. You can use the following within Custom Redirect Module inside vBSEO CP

'^old-forum/(.+)$' => 'new-forum/$1'

Is there any information about how to do this, that I can read
As I have never done a Custom redirect before
