    moving subforums below posts of forums

    How do you or what variable did you move in the templates to move the subforums like you have here below the posts of their parent forum. I would like to know this

    ALWAYS MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR TEMPLATE (S):

    templates to edit: 1

    open FORUMDISPLAY

    find

    Then find

    and cut and paste the previous code below that!

    Now this is for VB 3.0.* only, i have not made this change on my dev forums which is running 3.5

    Anyone know how to do this in 3.8 properly?

    I just tried:

    find and cut:
    Code:
    <if condition="$show['forumslist']">
 <!-- sub-forum list  -->
  to 
 <!-- / sub-forum list  -->
</if>

    Then find
    Code:
     <!-- End Active Users in this Forum (and sub-forums) and Moderators -->
<br />
    And paste the contents after that.



    At first I thought it worked, as on this page: Game Discussion & Downloads
    The sub forums had moved below the threads exactly how I wanted.

    But on this page: Games Discussion and Hacks #2
    All those subforums were gone. The page was pretty much empty.

    So does anyone know how to do this in 3.8 properly?

    Hello Matt,

    It didn't worked because your "Games Discussion and Hacks #2" is a category closed for posting. You should make it again a forum and close it for postings to get the design working fine.

    Edit: In the links I gave above, how I said it is not working, what you would have seen is what it looks default. As I had changed things back to default as I didnt want to leave my forums looking strange. So not sure if that has confused things.

    But if not....

    Is there no other way around that?
