    Moving .htaccess rules to htaccess.conf

    Hi

    Ive been reading about moving my rewrite settings to increase performance in vbseo.

    The problem is that in the instructions, in the htaccess.conf file, it shows that you should put the following directory tag around the rules :

    <Directory /your/httpd/docs>
    ......rewrite rules..........
    </Directory>

    What is the directory tag for and will it be the same directory on my server, if not, how do I find which directory it should be?

    Many Thanks
    Mark

    The tag is to denote that site only, since multiple sites can be on one server/php install. you can find your directory in phpinfo() script from vb ACP under maintenance tab.

    if you're on cent, it's likely /home/sitename/public_html/forums
