| Moving domain names
I'm going to switch domain names i believe this weekend (maybe) and need to figure out a way to make sure the a user uploaded image folder is rewritten to the new URL ex: http://olddomain.com/forums/uploader TO http://newdomain.com/forums/uploader Should i simply do this by leaving the old account active and placing a .htaccess file in the root and all other folders pointing to the new domain. But then what should the .htaccess look like. Thanks |

Yes, you should leave old domain working and use redirect rules as described here: 301 Redirecting Domains
