Mobile Theme shipping with vBulletin 4.1.2

It does not work. vB support guys told me to disable all plugins including vbseo. I just checked another thread where Mert suggested to avoid using the mobile theme till vB fixes all the glitches. That thread was closed so I was sort of forced to start a new one. Since, disabling vbseo is not really an option for my forum, I would be avoiding the mobile theme unless the developers here update us about it! Thanks.

i actually managed to get it working after disabling 'all' plugins.

vb support told me to disable all plugins. and then enable them one by one to find out the culprit.

not prepared to go through this much hassle for their mobile theme which lacks even the NEW POSTS option right now.

i did not check if their detection system is working properly. i just enabled the mobile theme manually... and it seems to work fine on a bare vB forum with no third party plugins.

I see 2 options within vBulletin Options > Style & Language Settings related Mobile style. However both options doesn't give an option to choose Mobile style and there is No Mobile Style within installed styles.

OK i managed to handle it . It looks like upgrade steps is missing Mobile Style installation.
You need to manually install mobile style , you have to repeat this step 3 times for regular mobile style , blog and cms styles.

Once you finalized importing the styles you need to go to vBulletin Options > Style & Language Settings and define your mobile style within Default Style for Modern Mobile Browsers .

After these steps vBSEO is working correct for me with mobile style within iPhone.

    VSa - Sub-Forum Manager...

this was one of the plugins preventing the mobile theme from working on my forum. disabling it seems to make it sort of functional. vb of course has this to say:

You cannot disable plugins for a single style without modifying the code. We cannot officially support code modifications or forums running modified code, however you can try searching or asking for help with this over at vBulletin.org Forum - The Official vBulletin Resource!.

Do you allow user's to choose their style in your vB settings? That's obligatory.

Did you follow the instructions how to install the mobile style? Here are a few extra threads that hopefully help you, I had a few issues in the beginning too:

Forum Mobile: 'Full Site' doesn't work!!
    Forum Mobile: Gridmenu 2x "Home"
Forum Styles crahsed after installing mobile style..

If not I recommend you ask for support over at vbulletin.com The mobile style DOES work very well with vBSEO and no-one needs to disable vBSEO because of the mobile style (and shouldn't!).

You still need to install mobile style even if you upgrade to vBulletin 4.1.2. Please read Mobile Theme shipping with vBulletin 4.1.2 carefully

Ok, i found this page : vBulletin Manual - Installing the vBulletin Mobile Style , now it make sense, i installed the mobile version and i can select from option the mobile version for mobile browser. But i do not understand step 6.

If you have the Publishing Suite you need to repeat the above two steps to import the Blog and CMS Mobile Styles as well. The file names for these components are:
    vbulletin-mobile-style-blog.xml
    vbulletin-mobile-style-cms.xml
    Note:
When importing the Blog and CMS styles, you want to merge into the previously created Mobile Style. This will ensure that all the changes are in the same style.

I do the same thing but say the mobile already exist, should i select the mobile as parent style ? that mean merge styles ?

    EDIT

    Merge Into Style
(Selecting a style here will cause the imported style to be merged into an existing style, overwriting any conflicting entries. Leave blank to create a new style)

I missed that option, i know sometimes we can be a pain ...

    ANOTHER EDIT

So i managed to install the styles, i even set them up from Style & Language Settings, i tried to access the forum from 2 phones i still get the default browser as seen on pc, shouldn't detect automaticly ?
I like vbseo i use it on sports betting and whatafy.com
