Migration from smf to vbulletin and 301

    Need help with 301.

Im about to change forum software from smf to vbulletin (with vbseo).

Migration went well, but of course all thredhs etc have new urls now.

Before putting it online the coder needs to solve the 301 problem (I guess).

    (Over 1000 threadhs and 10 000 posts)

    Example:

Post in old forum - http://80.80.0.22/forum/index.php/topic,35.0.html (ip-number instead domain name for some reason)

Same post in new forum - http://domain.com/forum/category-nam...post-here.html

Can you help? Price? Have you done it before? Vbseo support gave me this link:
    http://www.vbseo.com/f2/404-301-tool-after-import-redirect-impex-imported-forums-27498/

Thanks! The smf forum is getting spammed and needs to be changed asap..

Hello Sebastian, welcome to vBSEO! .

Inside the thread Mert linked, you can find our 404/301 tool that will help you to redirect all of your old URLs to new vBSEO'd format. Since your old URLs are pretty different to SMF default URLs, it could be neccesary to you customize a bit the regular expressions to be entered within .htaccess file.

Can you please provide us with further details?:

    * Your exact old URL format for threads
    * Your exact old URL format for forums
    * Your exact old URL format for posts
    * Your exact old URL format for member profiles

    And:

    * Your exact new URL format for threads
    * Your exact new URL format for forums
    * Your exact new URL format for posts
    * Your exact new URL format for member profiles

To help you with the redirects.

Thanks Andres, but I was hoping to find a freelancer here to fix this for me for a fee. It would take you months to explain this to me.

Its much better to have pro solve this issue. Can you recommend anyone?
