I remember years ago there was an option in vbseo to have a max number of meta keywords? I can't seem to find it or any option within vbulletin to limit the number of meta keywords...am I missing something here?

vBSEO never had a limit setting for meta description.

WAs there an option in vbulletin and is there an option now?
There was a limit on the URL length, I thought there was an option to limit the description. Maybe that's what the OP is talking about?

Yeah I remember that but I could have sworn somewhere there was a limit to hw many meta keywords were created. (whether vb or vbseo)
Reason being with Panda/Penguin I doubt you want threads with 50+ meta keywords, with urls as keywords as well as stop words.
I never had that before and I just checked recently the source code for a long thread and the amt of keywords was staggering.

Yeah. We just edited the code to only include 6 keywords.

I would suggest everyone to check their and see how many keywords they have in some threads....don't think that help with Panda/Penguin. I know the importance in terms of ranking has been almost limited/non existence, but I suspect if you do have large amounts of keywords in there they could consider it keyword stuffing...not to mention its grabbing words from posts that have zero relevance.
