    Making the Likes box look like the Thanks button box

    On my forum, I have several variations of the Thanks plugin. It shows the results beneath the thread, like this:

    Is there a way to move the Likes from above the signature on the post to a similar location (and change the template to look like the Thanks results)? I love the new feature but would like to integrate it into the design.

    The likes system is completely CSS-based. You can style it any way you wish. However, advanced changes like this, you are on your own.

    Could you at least provide a little guidance on where to modify? I would like to move the like button to the row of controls that has Edit/Quote,etc, and at least move the Likes below the signature instead of above it.

    You can now use the HTML comment placement in RC2.
    vBSEO Security Bulletin - vBSEO 3.6.0 RC2 Released, Sitemap 3.0 PL1 Released, patches for older versions available

    beyond that, the exact styling is up to you to code yourself.

    vb4:
    style manager -> CSS templates -> vbseo_buttons.css

    vb3
    it is run from the raw file in
    /vbseo/resources/css/vbseo_buttons.css

    Thank you. The html comment method seems like it would help, and I am running RC2, but when I insert it into my postbit template, it has no effect on the positioning of the Like button or likes. I looked at the source of my page, and the comment is being output in the HTML for each post. I used:

    <!--VBSEO_LIKE_SHARE-->

    Also, I am not asking for you to code the styling. I just wanted to find out how to move it. I can handle styling it.

    I believe you also need to have it set to always on to use the placement (to turn off the hover placement)

    I have it set to always on, and it just outputs the comment.

    I tried it with a different template to be sure, and still no luck. I would really like to be able to move the position. Hell, I am willing to go into the coe and change it if I have to. I like the comment idea at least, but cannot get it to work.

    The css still forces the style/position, so you may need to alter some of that (ie, the absolute positioning and pixel counts).

    I understand that part of it. However, I cannot move it just with CSS. Where is the actual code that is hooking in before the signature to output the divs? Also, why is the comment method not working? It is not the CSS that is causing that. The comment is literally output into the final HTML.

    I gave up and abandoned the feature in favor of adapting the thanks button code into a like button.

    why are you playing with us ???/

    Hello flyingsolo,

    A staff member has replied to your question:

    It is not possible to move them inside Quick Reply buttons as it will break the layout.

    Kind regards,
