    130,000 members and 700,000 posts, but only 25,000 pages in Google - something is definitely wrong

    If you have 700,000 posts,and only had 70,000 pages in google, I would say something has been wrong all along.

    From all the research I did before getting this product, I came in expecting a significant loss in google pages. At the same time though I am in the same shape as you in regards to pages in google vs. actual posts, so Ultimately I think we both should see a rise in number over time.

    How long have you had the product installed? and do you have the sitemap?

    How far back are you displaying your forums? Site has been online since 2001, but most of the forums I am looking at only have threads going back a couple months.

    @MentaL:

    The amount of duplicate content that exists with an out-of-the-box vBulletin implementation is substantial. The goal is not to get the most pages indexed - it is to maximize the number of quality, non-duplicate, non-noise content that is indexed.

    So, first we will see Google purging the duplicate content. Your archive thread pages alone created a massive duplicate content issue. Then once Google is cleansed of those pages, you will see an acceleration of your valuable, traffic producing content being crawled.

    Are you using our sitemap generator?

    A lot of your forums are showing from "Last Month" while browsing as a guest, and no posts show until I change it to "The Beginning". Here, for example: http://forum.ragezone.com/old-server-help/ No posts show to me as a guest. Once I change the cutoff, I get the threads. (525 pages worth)

    exactly. if guests are seeing that, spiders are seeing that. Many of your posts are most likely not, remaining on google because of this.
