Looking for complete site SEO optimisation

I have a site that uses vb 4.0.6, VBSEO and some other mods and plugins.

I need to get a complete review and optimisation from an SEO perspective done on my site and yes there are many so called SEO specialists out there but I was hoping that either one of the VBSEO people would be interested in a paid job to do this.

I need someone that knows vb and VBSEO inside and out and can look at my site from domain names right through everything including the way I have VBSEO installed along with the plug ins etc...as I said I am willing to pay for this service if one of you guys are interested...all this SEO stuff is beyond me

We currently don't offer that kind of paid services and unfortunately we don't allow paid services published on vBSEO.com forums.

Is this because vbseo really doesn't work?

We do not allow paid service requests here due to the inherit nature of scamming. If you look on .org, there are literrally thousands of 'complaint' threads about people paying X contractor for Y service and failing to deliver on it. We decided early on that we would not be a place that becomes a middle man in situations like this, and simply refer anyone looking for service to another venue.

It has absolutely nothing to do with our product at all in any shape or form.

I am sure that any business would like to achieve higher profits doing something right up their street? vbseo would make sense adding a paid service as it is something you work with each day! Not to do it says to me that you don't want come back when people come back even more saying the product doesn't work even with professional service.

My post to start this thread was asking not for a 3rd party but for VBSEO itself to provide a service of not just installation but also an audit of a site to ensure that it is optimised with VBSEO as best as possible.

I also find it strange that no one from VBSEO has answered/commented on my post at Is vbSEO working for me???

VBSEO may or may not be a great product but all I am seeing is no results from my investment, I ask for help and told there isn't any, yet there may be just some simple thing that I can do to my site to show that VBSEO IS a great product but VBSEO won't help me to do that even though I have said I will pay for their time.

The topic alone can be the bearing item on whether a new site is indexed quickly or not. Back links also pay a huge factor in this, and vbseo has no control over external links. While this may have been the case 'for you', I would certainly not say it's 'the norm'.
Frankly, the sitemap product has more to do with GETTING a site into the index, even if its just one page from a new site. New sites are of little value to google and are usually low priority. Sometimes it goes faster, sometimes not. Regardless, it is completely out of our hands as we are not google. Off-page concepts are the best things to work with to start being recognized: links, sitemaps, etc as those other resources are already indexed.

We are a small team and simply don't have the resources available to offer a service like this. We discussed this internally before and ended up scrapping the idea for many reasons including cost to the customer VS staff availability. A COMPLETE seo evaluation would take us a good several hours going through your entire site, cleaning it all up, generating reports for links, and 50+ other topics. Multiply that times just half of our customers that may be interested and there would be a 5-year waiting list and a $xxxx price point. While there certainly are those who could afford it, most would laugh at a figure like that and it would simply generate negative publicity/etc/etc. In order for it to be a profitable venture, it would require a significant price tag, well over the price of our core software. And, since it's optimization, there are NO guarantees that anything we do will change the way google/etc look at your site because we have ZERO control over them. We certainly can't offer a refund on work like that, and it would be a customer service nightmare. We can only go on what are considered 'best practices' and hope for the best.

The key point here is that there's rarely a set 'best' and 'worst' of anything. While some things tend to lean one way or another, personal preference comes in to play and outside factors that are uncontrollable by our software. The vbseo software does the hard part. It makes 1 static link for one resource. It cleans up whitespace. It has 100+ other features that can be programed. But, SEO doesn't stop there at automated programmatic features.
There's content, domain age, back links, other serps/competition and how well they are optimized to beat them, your skin, page weight, keyword, long tail, short tail, server response speed, and 1,000+ other factors that play into the total SEO picture.
We can't help you write your forum posts and we aren't a skinning company (yet, we even ventured into this realm back for vb3 with 2 optimized skin releases). We are a software company - we sell a 'tangible good' and support that good for technical and functional issues only. We are not a service company (with the exception of installs/upgrades). Perhaps in the future this may change, but our current company profile, staff, and available resources do not permit this to happen.

I did see your thread yesterday. While I always try to reply to everything, with 101 things going on at once, its easy to hit the back button and lose the post from showing under the 'new posts' search. In the future, if you don't have a reply in 24 hours, feel free to give it a bump so that we can be reminded if we missed it/planned to come back to it but got pulled away to another event. I will re-visit now.
