LinkBacks (Ping/Track/Refbacks) Settings

I am still confused about how I should be configuring LinkBacks (Ping/Track/Refbacks) settings.

Will setting Enable Incoming Pingbacks to Yes cause my board to link to other websites automatically?If so, this is bad, so I should set it to No?What about Enable Incoming Trackbacks?

Enable Incoming Refbacks? This one explicitly says "Select "Yes" to enable automatic backlinks to referring URLs." Does this mean my site has been automatically linking to spammers or garbage sites all along since this was set to Yes by default?

I have read The vBSEO LinkBacks User Guide - vBSEO 3.0 GOLD (I don't think a comparable guide exists for 3.20) but I'm afraid I'm still uncertain what these settings do and how I want them configured.

They are both set to moderated by default. In your vbseocp you should see the following:

Note: Incoming pingback moderation for individual forums is set via your vBulletin Admin CP in: Forums and Moderators > Forum Manager > Edit Forum
