License / Flipping sites

Hi guys,

Quick question.. i believe that vbseo licenses can only be transferred to another person after one year ?

As i buy and sell websites and also design for the sole purpose of selling, i like to use the best possible software available (vBulletin 4x & VBSEO)...

So i am just wondering what the best way i can go about using VBSEO in sites i Flip... buyers prefer paid software over say free mybb or phpbb type stuff (which is understandable) anyways i just wanted to bring that up and see what your thoughts are on this topic.. it's just difficult for me to develop a site and try and sell it when i have to explain that they would be best scrapping the site and installing VB4 / VBSEO.

Every company has its own rules and vBSEO have License Transfer Policy. License Transfer Policy has been established to protect our customers as many customers don't understand and know the importance of patience . SEO is an ongoing thing and if you continue switching domains all the time you will NEVER succeed. This will surely effect you and additionally vBSEO reputation. That's why this rule will not going to be changed.

As Mert mentioned we have no intention of changing our policy at the moment as it is there to protect user's investments. However I am not sure you understand our policy of transfers to new users. We allow you to transfer your licence to a new user after 90days, however it is only then than the licence will have to wait a further year to be transferred again.

So if you are buying your licences as new vBSEO licences after 90days you can then "flip" that site and licence over to another user. However if you are buying your licences second hand then you will have to wait 12months and renew the licence before you can make that transfer.

Am I right in this conclusion of that you are trying to do? Now please also keep in mind that we do NOT condone the purchase of vBSEO just to resell so this policy will not be changing or be relaxed in any way, however I can understand the business model you are working on and as you can see from my explanation above it is possible.

Yes i understand i was just wondering your thoughts on this, VBSEO have been great to me in the past, i am certainly not asking for special privileges, i was just interested to hear some feedback on this, mainly because i saw a site today on flippa that was using vbseo and it said vbseo included.. but the site was only a few weeks old. I am a webmaster i have a small SEO company i do understand results don't happen overnight and have seen many people expecting "Instant Magic" to happen after installing VBSEO.

EDIT: I will only ever purchase "new" licenses through vbseo, you have a great product and i am happy to pay the full price

90 days is very reasonable, i can live with that, i can see your side of this aswell, so i will try not to make a habit of this, i guess the best way to do this would to just use a vbulletin as a stand alone product and then advise the buyer to purchase vbseo.
