/keyword/ vs. /keyword.html

Is it known whether search engines place more emphasis on /keyword/ vs /keyword.html? or does it not matter?

That doesn't discuss if search engines prefer one to the other.

There was also a discussion on this on the digitalpoint.com forums recently, I will try to dig up a link for you.

Although from what I remember alot of people were leaning towards /keyword/ as opposed to the keyword.html alternative.

Most people think that /keyword/ is best but I have found /keyword/keyword.html to be best.
