Just installed -- what's next?

So I've just purchased and installed the new vBSEO. Should I be configuring more options after installing?

Everything works from the point of install, and nothing needs to be changed. However one of vBSEO's strong points is that though nothing needs to be changed there is hundreads of things you can.

Make sure you are happy with things like your rewrite settings etc ATM if not change them now before the new URL's get indexed, set up the analytics's settings etc and you will be on your way.

If you would like a more in-depth suggestion list of what to do then I highly recommend you open a thread in our Critique thread so someone can take a look at your site and give you more individual advice.

I'm having 1 issue. I have a forum section/category that I have the display order set to 0 so it doesn't show on the homepage, but the old link to it (/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=141) will not work with vBSEO enabled. What can I do to repair this?

It doesn't work because there are in the URL a missing parameter. As you can see, directly after forumdisplay.php?s= there's nothing.

The "s=" parameter corresponds to a security token. You can change the URL to "/forumdisplay.php?f=141" so vBSEO can read the forum id, thus the URL will be rewriten.

I'm still having some problems. The actual forum link is: GovDiaries

With vBSEO enabled, it seems to rewrite to: GovTeen Forums

When I click on that with vBSEO enabled, it does not work.

Please try to disable the following option:

vBSEO CP -> Other Enhancements -> Direct Category Links

I'm having another issue. I set the member links to /member/. I have a member named Jack. (with the period) but it links him to a member called Jack2005. Any idea why?
