    Insert Analytics code in vbSEO?

    Hello,

I have successfully installed vbseo on my website. I already have google analytics running on my vb footer for 1 year now, so my question is do I need to delete the code from my footer and insert it in the vbseo cp instead? Or there is no need for that?

Well you can leave it how it is, but if you add it to your vbseo (which is better for upgrades because you do not have to worry about the template edit) you should remove it from your footer template.

    vbseo also adds segementation tracking.

I would delete your template edit and use the vbseo option.

Thanks, but I seem to already have this functionality in my google analytics account.

    Do I miss something?

yes, the functionality is there already, but the code needs to adjust to track members vs guests, which is built into vbseo

Guys I've removed my script code from my footer and added the requested code part in the vbseo cp. Do I need to do anything else to get the segments about members and guests, or will they appear in the analytics segments by themselves?

Ok I understand that I should see something in: Analytics->Visitors->User Defined inside my google analytics account?

I only see a "(not set)" there that has all the visitors. Any ideas? Am I looking at the right place?

yes, that's the right place. it will take a couple days to get some more detailed stats tracked (as your users are cookied as not set right now...)

KURTZ, how long did it take you to see the segments between members/guests in visitor tracking?

It's been 2,5 days now and I still see 1500 visitors as "(not set)" and only 1 as "guest".

    Brian, is this normal?
