    Indexes Drop and WWW questions

I've just did this search -

    site:allboutlife.net
    [Results 1 - 10 of about 407 from allboutlife.net

    site:www.allboutlife.net
    Results 1 - 10 of about 122 from www.allboutlife.net.

Now heres my indexing question, for some reason my indexing went from 500 to 400? How's that possible? And what about www and non www? I read the stickies but I still don't know which one to choose! I tried using www. but when I accessed ACP, I kept on getting redirected back to my login and get alot of issues so I decided not to. I just want whats best so yeah

    Thanks.

your www settings in htaccess need to match your VB options setting for "forum url". both either need www's or both should neglect to have them.

the site: command is known inaccurate. tack your stats with analytics, not what count you get from the site command.

If I change from non-www to www would it be a huge effect or just a minor one? I don't want google to mistaken it as 2 different sites.

I personally do not use www's and would advise to do the same. It's a waste of 4 keystrokes.

    www. is deprecated.
