Improve performace? just installed vBSEO and using it just for the cms for now

Hi,

I'm using vBSEO rewriting urls just for the CMS for now, I'm also using the nofollow for external links and html cleanup.

our load raised from 2~ to 5~..

what do you suggest for better performance? all requests still goes through

is there a way to change the way it renders requests? there are a lot of unnecessary php calls for each request all over the forum now..

what do you suggest? I've added yesterday 8GB ram for our server cause the apache was eating all the memory.. today I've installed vBSEO so I'm a bit afraid..

You can physically diable the plugins for each section in the plugin manager of the vb adminCP. The gloabal items will need to stay on, but the section specific sections can be disabled.

can you please explain more cause I'm not that technological.. the problem is for anything besides the cms sections where I do need those files, but for the rest of the forum (threads \ posts etc') they are unnecessary.

by the way - I do have eAccelerator installed.. but I can't use it for caching?

by the way, is there a way to add a thread link to the thread title above the thread with vBSEO? cause there is a bug in vB's links.. Forum &pagenumber= variable in title hyperlink

eAccelerator installs without necessary functions by default.

There is a vbseo header.

disable non cms and non-global items one by one (checking that your site still functions each time). This will completely bypass that section from running.

just deactivited the plugin,
load decreased by 2.
memory usage in index only was 31,223KB~ now - Memory Usage 17,461KB.
less 5-6 queries per page.

this is way too much..
what should I do? we're talking about a pretty big board..

scroll up a post and disable the un-necessary functions.
