    I'm REALLY, REALLY New at this!

    ok, i think possibly you might want to explain the upload process so a small child can understand it.....as that is where i stand when it comes to understanding the procedure

    I have vBulletin 3.6.8 and am using the ioncube version...

    here is my confusion;

    1). are we are supposed to upload the contents of the upload folder, but not the upload folder itself?

    2) if so, i already have admincp and modcp in the root, for use with vbulletin, the seo script also has admincp and modcp, so these will overwrite the existing folders?

    3) when you refer to "vB-root", you mean the same place my forum's index.php page is? in the example you have http://www.yoursite.com/vB-root/vbseocp.php, must i create a folder called vBulletin-root, or do you actually mean www.yoursite.com/vbseocp.php? (my forum is installed in the root)

    I know the questions are almost the same, but they are all relevant as well.

    Please help! Thanks.

    If the above is confusing, maybe this will be easier to explain to me:

    My forum is on the domain itself; www.domain.com/ what and where do I actually upload the files?

    Hello Jer ,

    1. We are supposed to upload the files inside the upload folder.

    2. They will not overwrite any existing vBulletin files. You shall upload all the files.

    3. vBulletin-root means the folder you have your vBulletin installed. If you have your vbulletin running on domain.com then you have to upload the files to root folder. If you have your forum running on domain.com/forum then you have to upload the files to forum folder. So in your case you have to upload the fles to your root folder.

    I, too, have uploaded all files. They are in the forum folders. Now what?

    Seems this whole forum is missing one forum, the INSTALLATION forum. I think if you pay attention to devoting an installation forum with stickys, there would be less questions in posts in all these other forums.

    The directions are missing in the ioncube 3.0.0 gold zip file, also.

    So, what next ???

    Oleg, check the download file IonCube 3.0.0.gold.zip , there is no setup instructions in there, and I did check all the folders.

    Actual Filename --> vbseo_3-0-0_gold_ioncube

    There is no instructions in there.

    I ran the test script fine, then downloaded the script it suggested, then ???

    At least I know to upload in binary.

    I see you are on a 12 hour difference from me, I hope this doesn't go on for days...

    Lightbulb vBSEO Installation Instructions

    Install went okay, with the usual monkeying around accompanying an install.

    I just want to say the link to the instructions on that IE page could have been bigger and more pronounced, as it is very crucial. Also the information to upload in binary was not in there, just so you know that, also. With higher resolution monitors, that link is quite tiny and hard to spot. It was in the upper left area, and had no underlining under the link.

    Thought I would pass this information to you, Oleg, so you can get a memo out to the designer of these installlation setup pages. Maybe they can make that at least more visable.

    Thanks for your time, however, I kept looking, found it, and finally everything worked out!
