    Hello Jimmy,

Yes, you can use vBSEO 3.5 with vB 3.8.x. 3.5 works fine with both vB 4 and vB 3. Just make sure you are going to use vBSEO Sitemap 2.6 with vBSEO 3.5.x.

    Best regards.

Thanks. Would you recommend I use vb 4 though?

It depends on many factors. You probably may want to use it if you want a most-recently-updated design and better template syntax, if you want to keep yourself updated, if you trust in vBulletin 4. vBulletin 4, IMO, it's ok for new sites, although it's still on development, because it will be updated constantly with new features and many bug fixes with each release; coders are pointing their efforts developing vB 4 compatible add-ons, so I recommend you to take a look at the scenes, read people comments, check it out by yourself and then, make a decision.

I personally strongly recommend keep vBulletin 3 in stablished sites, until vBulletin 4 shows the stability that has vBulletin 3. At the time to make your decision, think in stuff like support (vB 3 will reach EOL some day), styles, your niche, etc.

    the main issue here is:

You can always upgrade vb3 to vb4.
but you can't downgrade vb4 to vb3 easily.
