I feel like vbseo isn't doing anything for me....

Site in question is Random Chatter (dot) org I have had vbseo installed for around a month now, and what happened was, I had updated my ROBOTS.TXT file to that of which Brian had suggested however I did not update my vbseo settings.

One day about a week ago I had over 500 registrations hundreds of posts etc, however since I had blocked .html files I was not being indexed by Google that entire day. It was my fault and a dumb mistake but its over now. I went back to my old robots file and everything seems ok. But heres my problem, the only time that Google bots are on my site is when me or other members are posting, and even then they are few and far between.

No yahoo, msn, etc. Very few google links and what not.

So bascially my question is, is vbseo doing anything for me? Please give me any advice or suggestions.

Hi PJ,

The robots.txt mistake you made should not cause you too much impact. SEO takes time, so at only 1 month not seeing any huge changes does not mean there is no impact.

Stick with it, and let us know how things improve over the next couple of months. Also make sure that you monitor your Google Webmaster Tools for anything out of the ordinary:
