HTML clean up function or Deflate module?

I need some technical data regarding html cleanup function at vbseo. I did not fully grasp the difference between what modgzip doing and this function doing. What happen if we use these two together. Is there any real gain to use both?

The two are very different, what gzip does is physically compresses the output into a gz format. What the cleanup function is doing is removing all unneeded tabs and spaces etc in the output code. Using the two together is actually the best course of action as it means that vBSEO makes the code cleaner and smaller and then modgzip then compresses the output further.

Thanks ceri. I think i'll like to use it together as you said. Please confirm me, first vbseo take of unneccesary code parts and then modgzip or deflate compress this output and serve to visitor. Also do you know how much gain does it provide at generally?

Yes, they can be used together.

clear white space -> reduce file size
zip -> double reduce file size
