.htaccess

I understand that vbSEO creates/changes a .htaccess file to handle the mod_rewrites.

What if I already use .htaccess to block image linking, and other settings. Does it just append/edit the current one, or will it be overwritten everytime I make a change, or?

you will simply add the contents of .htaccess from vBSEO distribution to your currently existing file and it should work fine.

Also worth to mention that for us who keep the forum in a separate directory there is no problem at all since the htaccess for blocking or denying hotlinking is usually placed in the www-root and not in vb-root.
