    Post How to undo forwarding??

When I first setup VB and VBSEO I came to VBSEO for instruction to setup forwarding because of the CMS...since then I have long forgotten what I have set to undo...I am moving the forum to another domain, even though I have reset the DB info, the new domain is still pointing to the old domain....

    OLD:
    SEOScripts.com/forum

    NEW:
    BizWebForum.com points back too
    the old URL above...

How do i cancel the forward so it just points
    too: BizWebForum.com ??

I have even tried to go to BizWebForum.com/admincp
to edit the urls, and it keeps saying db error, and
I have checked the db info twice...

    Thanks

    Check your htaccess file.

but, that will not throw a db error, so you have something else wrong. what is the actual db error message (view source)?

I have removed the htaccess, and the new domain is still forwarding to the old url...

This url seems to work without forwarding, but shows DB error:

    BizWebForum.com/forum.php

I am not sure what I would have done wrong:

I copied the db into a new db name for the new domain

I set the info in the config.php for the new domain

I setup the DB name, user, and pw in cpanel

not sure why I am getting DB error....

Something of the DB must be working as I have noticed, if
I remove DB access, then it no longer forwards, in fact the
new URL will only show a full DB error...if it is left the way it
is now, then it just forwards to the old url....

messed up? It seems to work on the original, I just made a backup, and changed the filename
    to a new db name...(bigboard_vbbiz)

ok, I see the problem now, I aborted the sql dump process to soon thinking it was
done, so only some of the sql file got restore...

    making some progress now....

I now need to remove VBSEO from the old url, exactly
how do I do that as there seems to be files here and there,
if I am not mistaken, all the files have to be removed
before I can transfer to a new domain, correct?

yea, I have to change quite a bit of stuff now since I am changing over to a new domain.

I still do not like the fact that the forum is forced in showing /forum...ie:

    http://bizwebforum.com/forum/

    I want it to show:

    http://BizWebForum.com

Just like this domain does, and they are using the new VB just like I am:

oh wow, I also noticed the numbers at the bottom of my site are now gone...anyone know
why they were there? Are they important? If not, then I will not worry about it, if they are
let me know, and how to bring them back...

    Thanks

I have also noticed on the new domain on whois online that some visitors
are blocked...even though the area they are looking at is not blocked..but
maybe they are blocked because they were at the original site? which is now closed....
but why would they come over to the new site showing blocked on whois?

    Thanks

This is what is in CRR:

    '^forum\.php$' => 'forum/'

But how to I arrange this so just the home page shows, and not /forum/

    never mind...

    got it.
