[How To] Replace Showpost Links with Permalinks - Max Out Search Engine Crawling Efficiency

Nofollow doesn't pass weight for page ranking to the destination.

showpost will 404 and drop out after upgrade.

If you were using vbseo permalinks in vb3, this would be better as it will redirect showpost correctly.

I saw the video above, and it is nothing like what I have on my VBSEO Control panel.
For some reason when I changed permalink structure, my entire forum slowed down. I changed servers at my hosting service to the faster ones they offer.

That helped a little.
Now, my "Recent Activity Widget" on the right side of my home page shows:

Which "used to" say the comment itself, but now it shows the re-direct. What am I doing wrong????

The issue you described in ticket yesterday has NOTHING to do with this thread at all. The CMS didn't even exist when this thread was created.

You need to edit the widget as described in the ticket.

How to do it in vbseo 3.6.. Can't find the option...Do help me...

vBulletin 4 doesn't have showpost urls therefor a permalink setting for vBulletin 4 is not needed.
