Building on that. Should this be also applied to members?

For instance, /members/ pages represent only approx. 0.20% of my incoming traffic but they have a very high bounce rate (approx. 80%)... so am I correct assuming that removing these links from the sitemap would improve even further the crawling efficiency?

Sure. I do not include ANYTHING but showthread and forumdisplay in my sitemap.

I do not block the other pages, but i don't want to FOCUS on those pages either.

Interesting. So you don't even include the archive?

ESPECIALLY not the archive! It is useless with vbseo.

Hi, I followed the instructions and came to an error when i was trying to do this step. (using ver 2.5 for the sitemap)

Click "Run Sitemap Generator". Then confirm when the dialog box prompts you to continue.

it ran the generator and at the very bottom it showed:

What are the details of the database error ? You can check page source to view database error details

You are using an outdated version of vBSEO Sitemap Generator. You should upgrade to vBSEO Sitemap Generator 2.5

vb4 no longer uses showpost as they did in the past. For vb4, this is basically depreciated.
