[How To] Replace Showpost Links with Permalinks - Max Out Search Engine Crawling Efficiency

don't bother, I already found out that showpost rewrite was turned off. I thought that re-applying the default settings would have changed that, but I had to set it from advanced options (+)

now happily waiting for google to clear them out from their indexes

How can I put thread id at the end of permalinks:
For example a thread of my website has url of this format:

http://webthehinh.com/forums/3-girls-yeah.html

I want to make it looks like this instead (like vbseo.com):
http://webthehinh.com/forums/girls-yeah-3.html
cause my current one is a bit misleading

but in default the "permalink" for each post, is used , not showpost ..... is correct?

Or in default are used permalink and showpost too?

Last question,
if i disable the showpost, all my rewrited unique post links, will be losed by the search engines?

Default option is not set to replace showpost links with permalinks.

If you are getting a lot of traffic from showpost pages , you should not replace your showpost pages with permalinks. If not those pages will dissapear soon.

I don't know if i getting a lot traffic by showpost,(i have installed analytic this evening , after reading this thread)
but i have linked a big number of post with permalinks, for example:

i don't wanna lose the correct link in the other discussion.....
If i apply this edit, i will lose the correct link that i have put in other thread and i'll lose all the link indexed by google for specific posts?

Yes your vBSEO Sitemap Generator report looks OK.

When you update max post per thread , your indexed urls may return 404 as the number of pages on a thread will change when you update that setting

Step 2 has me confused.

vBSEO will instantly replace your showpost links on every thread page with a Permalink version instead. However, there is an important additional step required for your sitemap:

• Login to your vBulletin Control Panel.
• Find the vBSEO heading in your left column.
• Click "vBSEO Sitemap Settings".
• Scroll down to the option for "Include Showpost Pages".
• Select "No" for that option.
• Scroll down and click the "Save" button.

I have no 'vBSEO Sitemap Settings' link in my VBSEO control panel like the video explains.

That's what is confusing. I do have sitemap generator installed.

When I log into my sitemap generator, it say this as the bottom.
