How can I make the url shorter

I have installed vbseo a couple of days now, but the URLS are really long. How can I make them short like the other ewebsites (e.g: www.name.com/foru/t1432.hmtl)

You can change Rewrite Settings within vBSEO Cp Forum Urls. However we don't advise you to change your rewrite settings as changing rewrite settings will need you to get reindexed.
