Question How about an hourly scheduled task to rebuild data store, until vB fixes the security hole?

I am literally checking my site on a non-stop basis this past week since the exploit. Since vBulletin can't seem to get their act together, would it be possible to have a scheduled task that rebuilds the datastore hourly (since that seems to temporarily fix the URL re-direct exploits). I know that's a band aid, but it would at least minimize the time the exploit could be in effect, right?

On a related note, I would like to again thank the vBSEO team for their amazing support that you simply will not find anywhere else, for any product or service. Last night there was someone on here asking how to fix their URL redirect exploit and I told him to uninstall/reinstall vBSEO. Mert thought that meant I was saying vBSEO was the cause. That's not what I meant at all. It's just that doing that was a way for him to rebuild the datastore and temporarily fix the problem. Mert, Brian, Ceri, Marco and the rest of the vBSEO team seriously offer the best support you will ever find. I have the utmost respect for them as well as their product. (however Internet Brands/vBulletin on the other hand, is a different story )

There is no security hole... assuming you have the latest patch files. If you are going to focus any time into more security, you should be looking at the hardware level.

Have you updated the PL1 patch yet so it doesn't mess up attachments?

THere is a fix published on the forums, but this will not included until 3.5.2 release. Either way, that has nothing to do with security.
