I thought this will be in vbseo pack but it isn't :(

I had, on SMF forum, a mod that was generating tags from google.
Let me try to explain how did the mod worked.

- So let's say that person A open new topic called "Used cars in USA"
- google index that page
- person B is searching for "Used cars USA" in google and find that topic (that has been created by person A) and click on that resoult.
- that mod is generating tags for that tread: "Used, Cars, USA"
- so user A never had to create Tags when creating a topic and still, tags are alway associate with topic.

I don't know if there is anything like this but would like to see it.
I hope you understand what I'm talking about.

Actually, I'm surprised you mentioned this. You could call it "automated search engine referral tagging" (ASERT). We have had this planned as a surprise for a future version.

Of course, now that you have preemptively mentioned it, I suppose it's ok to acknowledge.

This feature basically uses the search engines' own indications of value for a particular term to help you further optimize for said term, thereby hopefully increasing the ranking to an even greater level.

Stated alternatively: If they send you traffic for term A, you focus on term A.

when can we expect this mod I'm not sure should I install tags that have to be inserted by user or should I wait?

If I were you I would use vBulletin 3.7 which includes a tagging system, and wait for the vBSEO feature to be implemented later. It will be compatible with vBulletin tags.

Hm, how can I update, I didn't saw download link for VB 3.7?

Well, it's currently in beta right now. You might want to wait for the official release that should be coming in the near future.

It has been suggested that they will make a utility that will import the Zoints Tagging system if you run that. My best suggestion would be to wait.

I found this thread searching for something similar in Google... Now that VB3.7 is Gold, will VBseo be updated with this feature?

Oh, one more question about tags: Is it good to let Google to index "tags" results? I mean, allow Google to index something like: "http://www.vbseo.com/tags/automated+tagging/" Or is it considered as duplicate content?

This feature may be added at vBSEO 3.5.0 but within the next version vBSEO 3.2.0 it is not included

I was ecstatic to see this post, really great idea. Read the posts in order, then Joe's post about it being a "surprise" for upcoming version (january 29th), and thought sweet, I'm going to downlad the RC5 right now,

Then, BAMM , my disappointment came crashing down with the post that this won't be available until at least 3.5

How about working some magic and making these great features available. Keeping VBSEO cutting edge with features like these should surely improve sales also.
