Google sitemap generator vs vbseo sitemap tool

Just installed the google sitemap generator on our dedicated server. Do I still need (or want) the vbseo sitemapp tool, or would leaving the vbseo tool enabled actually hurt seo?

I would suggest disabling the google tool. Our tool hooks straight to your database and is configurable. Thus, it is much more efficient. The google tool is best left to sites that don't have a tool available to them.

Agreed, Also you can control with our sitemap tool what you want to include in your sitemap for example you want to include showthreads only and don't include the others and that's can't done without vBSEO sitemap generator, So if you want the best results then you should use vBSEO with vBSEO Sitemap generator

Okay, but there seem to be features of the google tool that vbseo sitemap does not have. See, for instance, they types of sitemaps google offers (attached image). Also note these features:

Creation of Sitemaps based on web server traffic, web server logs and web server files.
Efficient generation of Web Sitemaps used by many search engines, and of Google-specific feeds for Mobile, Code Search, and Blog Search.

P.S. I hate vBulletin 4.x
Every time I use a forum with it installed, there's some weirdness that just makes me go "yuck." This time it's how attachments are displayed.

If you want to get the best results use vBSEO Sitemap generator to generate your forum sitemap

P.S : If you decided to use vb4 in the future remember that the default vBulletin sitemap don't include vBSEO'ed URLs so it will not work if you have vBSEO and you will need to use vBSEO sitemap generator to get the vBSEO'ed URLs on it.
