why? because good URI's NEVER change.

look back 5 years ago.... all the cgi-bin/script.cgi pages everywhere on the net. php pretty much replaced perl/cgi's on the web. and with it, all those links are gone. It's really only a matter of time before php is obsolete.
even .asp has been replaced with .aspx.

/script/ never changes. whether it was cgi/perl, asp, php, jsp, cfm, etc... its still /srcipt/

What type of a Google hit do you take if you change from .html to /script/ from within vBSEO cp?

If you do it globally, you should be able to 301 all content from .html to /. There likely will be a bit of a re-indexing period and no one can say for sure how long it will take.

But, it's always better to do it now than 3 years down the road when you're twice as big
