    Question Google Analytices versus GetClicky.com

Has anyone had experience with Clicky Analytics?

    Among other things, they have:

    • Near real time (< 5 min)
      • A cool "Spy" feature that lets you stream what is happening on your site as it happens
    • User level action tracking (including the ability to identify users by username)
    • RSS feeds of traffic summary, etc.
Some caveats are they are limit signup to only sites that have < 50,000 pageviews a day.

You can see a live demo of it at:

    Thoughts?

I wouldn't consider it an alternative, but it may make a nice additional reporting tool.

    I use 4.

    Analytics, mint, sitemeter, and awstats

Good point. Running parallel, at least initially, is certainly the plan..

I suspect time will tell where I find myself spending my analytic research time..

One advantage of Clicky is their disadvantage as well:

    • They are small enough that it is easier to get a voice into the feature development process.
    • They are small enough that there could be fear of whether they will be there tomorrow.
    I'll keep you guys posted.

Using Google Analytics as a benchmark, what are the extra features you get from using the other programs that you don't get with Analytics?
    1. Mint
    2. SiteMeter
    3. AwStats
    4. Get Clicky

    Good question.

So adding #4 to your list for Clicky:

    • Provides user action level details (including username)
    • Provides near realtime data (<5min)
    • not as popular so not a lot of people blocking the tracker code like they do google's :-)

I've had this going for a couple of months now and have to say I am very happy with the results.

The user level detail (and real time spy) are quite addictive.

I'm packaging this up into a VBulletin plugin (needs a bit of extra code than just the tracking code for associating user name to a session).. I'll post the link here once it is up on VBulletin.org.
