Would it conflict in anyway with vbseo?
No, it wont conflict with vbseo. It just set expire date on images etc, that by default dont have any expire. I did that myself few days ago, I am sure it will make Google happy. Most people believe "speed SEO" will be a part of Google ranking algorithm, one of 200 or so factors they use. So its not a bad idea to follow Google's recommendations / guidelines.
Anyone have any results using this optimization. I found this after my putrid performance results in Google Webmaster Tools labs.
mod_expires is tempermental. I never got it working corectly. members wouldn't see new replies/etc unless amanual (shift +_ f5) refresh was performed.
