is it a good idea to make thread urls have forum names added to each of them?

    like gre-math-problem-solving-integers

there are about 75 threads on 1 page .. would it be too much of the same keyword on one page? or would it be good for seo?

Normally, I'd like to follow a hierarchic URL format. Something like :
    /forum-name/thread-name/

But if theres a Forum in which you need to 'move' threads a lot, from one sub-forum to another; I choose a Thread URL Format in which the Forum-Name doesn't appear. Eg, /thread-name/ , /t-thread-id/, etc. Thus, moving the thread to another sub-forum won't have any effect on the Thread URL.

Note: If you have both : Thread Name as well as Forum Name, the Thread URLs can get quite long; if theres no limit specified on the maximum number of keywords in URL.

Yes, it does get 301 redirected.

But this is what I have experienced on my own forums :

    - Thread title of an already indexed thread is updated, consequently the URL changes.
    - Google indexes the New URL too.
    - Google finds out that the old URL is 301 redirected and updated it's index accordingly.

In the step 2, the Google has both URLs indexed. (old as well as new). And the effect of the 301 on the already indexed URL varies for me from 1 day - 1 week. Also, in this meantime, I notice the SERPs of that particular thread go down. (they come back up after all the indexing gets over)

Note: This is my personal experience. *May* not be the same with other forum owners.
