Getting things going!

Hello.!

Im new here. Looking for some tips to get things going. Im a new board with just 20 members. I've been active for 3 weeks. Not much is happening. I have submitted all of my sitemaps. I even have a generator from Vb.org mod. What can I do to get things going?

My Stats show only 8 hits from Yahoo/Google since I've been running. With 98.8% of being direct placement or bookmarked Urls. Obviously im not getting into the search engines very well.

You have to be a member to view your threads? This is going to be a major factor holding you back in the search engines. Strong recommendation: open it up to guests (and search engines).

You have excellent keywords for your forum names. I would get rid of redundant "Discussion of" or "Discuss" in the forum descriptions.

Try installing the welcome headers mod and converting it to an image.

Try using our relevant replacements feature.

But, by far most importantly, you need to open our content up to guests to see any real results.

Did you install the "vBSEO" Sitemap generator?

Changing welcome message to an image allows you to keep the marketing text on your forum without impacting the keyword relevancy of the page. This is importance since you want to optimize each page, on a forum by forum, thread by thread basis.

The relevant replacements is somewhat the opposite. In this case, we use the feature to add extra emphasis to keywords on the page that are likely to generate traffic, on a thread by thread, page by page basis.

One boosts keyword relevancy by removing keywords. The other boosts keyword relevancy by adding and enhancing search engine valuable keywords.
