General vbSEO question

Okay my question is if i block my forums from guests being able to view it will it stop vbSEO from working correctly? I am running a gaming clan website and we have some issues from other clans that have been coming over to our website and reading content as guests and keeping tabs on us along with stealing our content, will it affect vbSEO from functioning correctly if i block them? And if it will is there anyone that knows a workaround to this?

Yes, this not a good idea. Bots are guests. If they can't read it, they can't index it, and you'll have no search results. I highly suggest keeping your site open. vBSEO pings google upon new threads and thus they know the original source. If anyone else steals it, they will be faced with duplicate content penalties.
