Forum just disappeared?

Greetings,

I need your help almost urgently. Something has happened while I was browsing www.HostingDiscussion.com website - suddenly it went from normal pages to giving a strange error that says:

"vrespUnauthorizedUpgrade"

That's all. The rest of the page is blank. Please let me know if you see the same thing. It doesn't allow me to go anywhere (just was able to acess Admin panel), even CPanel. I researched the web and only thing that came up was this thread (it is in German, but one post is in English) so I think that it MIGHT be vBSEO related.

I logged in into the vBSEO and my license states as: NONE.

I would like to know from someone who is familiar with the problem how can a license which I purchased long time ago simply expire and cause this kind of disruption?

And how do I fix this? To access vBSEO support it asks me to "pay for an upgrade" first, which is ridiculous since I have already paid for my license. Does it not make me a client anymore?

I'm also getting the error message

"vrespUnauthorizedUpgrade" as of this morning. We have a registered version of vbSEO on our website, so what's going on?

I have momzone.com/vBulletin/ and my users have written that I'm getting this same message "vrespUnauthorizedUpgrade" and i we were able to see them yesterday. I can't even get into my admin area... can you tell me why?

So what did the OP and subsequent posters do wrong to generate this error? It seems pretty serious in terms of SEO if someone's forum pages are suddenly errors...

The issue was related to an outdated vBSEO version (2.1.1/2.4.0).

When I was a potential customer instead of a customer one of my big presales concerns was adding an additional dependency in the form of an additional license check, etc. that if it went wrong could bring my forums down. I haven't had any such problems, but I thought it would be good to make you spell it out so other potential customers wouldn't see this and worry, like I did in the past
