Problem - Text is added to end of URL

I just found a very big problem. Starting the day that I went live with vbSEO, I am getting a ton of traffic that looks like ex1 instead of ex2. Help?

    ex1: mysite.com/forum/f17726/chevy-trucks.php
    ex2: mysite.com/forum/f17726/

I used to have a landing page that 10 parked domains redirected to a single page called mysite.com/chevy-trucks.php. It got a lot of traffic and in fact it was my de-facto landing page for a few years.

Starting on the day that I installed vbSEO, this text has been added to the end of about 60% of the traffic on my site. 12,000 pageviews yesterday to be exact. It's all being redirected to the homepage, but I"m not sure what's causing it or how to reproduce it. Google Analytics actually says that most traffic is internal and these are not landing pages ... not sure about that though.

... well, the jury is still out on if these are entrance pages or not.

Yesterday alone there were 4600 different pages that contained "chevy-trucks.php" with the 12,000 pageviews.

It's got to be a bad redirect that's pushing into the htaccess file and being sent out maybe???

I'm operating on the assumption that 1) there may be some config issue in vbseo that I'm not aware of, 2) I've got something screwy in my .htaccess file and/or a rogue line of code in the index.php file, 3) something on the server with parked domains and/or redirects that I'm not seeing.

    I responded to the ticket.

Any chance this is a bad configuration in Google Analytics setup?

I guess no one else has had this issue?

I really regret installing vbseo. It's starting to dawn on me that it was a very bad decision.

Please don't create duplicate threads or when you are assisted via a support ticket don't create a duplicate thread as these all are creating duplicate issues for us.

Regarding the issue you face , the issue doesn't seem to be related with vBSEO at all. In fact vBSEO doesn't even have a chevy-trucks.php file. This seems to be a custom file for your site and the file can contain errors. We are sorry but as we have no information within the file , there is not much we can do.

Can you also please supply your .htaccess content

P.S : For your knowledge the issue has nothing to do with your claim in support ticket regarding include domain name feature

the chevy-trucks.php file is a small file that redirects users back to the root index file, that's not the point. My host is clearly stating that people are simply not ever visiting these pages.

My point is (and it's hard to have a point when I have a 3 month old screaming in my ear) it likely something in the htaccess file and/or something in vbseo that grabbed and is returning "chevy-trucks" at the end of the url.

Doesn't matter what's causing it, I have to uninstall vbseo if it keeps up. I'm down 50% in traffic and I've lost probably $2,000 in ad revenue in the last two weeks alone since I went this route.
